Just the ramblings of a guy trying to lose 100 pounds in 100 days. Or a year. But you get the idea. I'll be blogging throughout the journey there. Let's have fun doing it!

wodcrossfitcdr:

Chris came into our office at the end of December and said, “I want to get into the fire academy and I need to lose weight, can you help me”. Chris works out 4 days a week here and he is strict on the zone and has lost almost 80 LBS! Chris we are so proud of you and your dedication to this program and your health.

*Next week is bring a friend week, don’t forget to register them for what class time they are coming to.

*Guests are not welcomed at the foundation, or the platform class. Guest are welcome to all Group classes they just need to be written down on our schedule so we can plan for the right amount of people.

How’s this for a before and after gang?? Amazing, huh?

This is exactly why I’m starting CrossFit Monday night - and I couldn’t be any more excited!

So I’m craving junk food right now. And by junk I mean fat. Why? I’m on the verge of having waited too long to eat.
So I am heating this bad boy up right now. It’s from Amy’s Organic so it must be healthy, right? Cough cough.
The Great One and I had picked up a potpourri of Amy’s products on one of our WFMI trips and this was one of them. Of course this isn’t good for you but sometimes you just need to throw caution to the wind and say ‘Fuck It’.

400 calories
16g fat
47g carbs (3g fiber)
16g protein
290mg sodium (surprisingly lower than I thought it would be)

Let’s not kid ourselves - this thing is a pig. Good thing it will be washed down with a salad.

why don't you update your background image with a pic of yourself????

Because I find the picture of Mr. Spealler to be hugely motivational to me. And, after all, this blog is here as a tool to keep me motivated on this journey.

Granted, at 5’5” and 139 pounds, he and I are totally different animals. But that’s neither here nor there. When I go to the page I just like the picture and it reminds me of why I do this and (ideally) how I’d like my body to look. Pipe dreams perhaps, but dreams nonetheless.

That being said, someday, if the stars should align just right (and if I find that looking at my own body motivates me) you can be sure that I’ll get a picture of it up.

Thanks for the question and have a great weekend!

What is life? It is a flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.

Chicken Tikka Masala

So we just had dinner and it was really good. Salad was served in the bowls I picked up today. And the main course ended up being a Chicken Tikka Masala using the Seeds of Change Tikka Masala Simmer Sauce that I picked up when I was at Whole Foods yesterday.

So good.

  • 90 calories in the sauce
  • About 125 calories in the 4 oz of chicken
  • 1 serving of Wild Rice, which I think was about 50 calories.

And best of all is that there are leftovers for a complete meal tomorrow!
